Reverse 1999 Examination – How to Pass All Three Exams

Reverse 1999 decades you can travel to.

If you want some quick and easy rewards in Reverse 1999, I recommend completing the training examination. This is split into three different stages, and rewards you for beating it. In this guide, I’m going to detail the Reverse 1999 examination, and provide steps on exactly what you need to do to beat each of the three stages.

Reverse 1999 is a time-hopping gacha adventure that sees you travel back to the 20th century. There, you will explore each decade as you strive to recruit famous characters from throughout history. You then create a party out of them, send them into battle, and level them up to increase your power.

You can grab Reverse 1999 from Google Play. We’ve also got guides on Reverse 1999 Limbo, Reverse 1999 George the Oak, and Reverse 1999 A Knight.

What’s the Reverse 1999 Examination?

The Reverse 1999 examination is a three step tutorial that teaches you everything you need to know about the battle system. The three stages include:

  • Targeting Exam
  • Play a Waiting Game
  • Visionary Insights

Let’s take a look at each of the stages in greater detail.

Targeting Exam

The targeting exam puts your, well, targeting ability to the test. It challenges you to focus on a specific enemy at a time, bringing them down quickly and efficiently to end the battle before losing an ally.

  • Goal: No ally dies when the stage is cleared
  • Recommended Level: 10
  • How to Beat it: Prioritise taking out enemies that will attack first to minimise the damage you take, with healers a second to prevent them from keeping enemies alive.
  • You can tell who is going to attack, and how many times, by the number of cards above them.

Play a Waiting Game

This exam challenges your ability to read your enemies. You want to prioritise bringing down enemies that are about to attack to prevent damage, keeping you alive to get the maximum rewards.

  • Goal: No ally dies when the stage is cleared
  • Recommended Level: 10
  • How to Beat it:
    • Much like in the previous stage, prioritise taking down enemies that will attack you first. You want to minimise taking damage as much as possible.
    • You can tell who is going to attack, and how many times, by the number of cards above them.
    • Prioritise healing if an ally is low on HP.

Visionary Insights

The final exam puts your ability to battle powerful enemies to the test. It focuses on buffs and debuffs to give you an upper hand.

  • Goal: No ally dies when the stage is cleared
  • Recommended Level: 10
  • How to Beat it:
    • Enemies in this stage are powerful, so you want to use your support units to buff your damage and defence as much as possible.
    • Following this, the previous strategy applies. Target enemies that will attack you first, and prioritise those that will attack multiple times.
    • You can tell who is going to attack, and how many times, by the number of cards above them.
    • Prioritise healing if an ally is low on HP.
    • Debuff powerful enemies!
