About The D’oh Badge
The D’oh Badge is one of the hardest badges to get in Doors. You receive the D’oh Badge, you need to find the Donut, a special item found in a secret location. On picking it up, you’ll receive the badge (and bragging rights.)
Where Is The Donut?
While it was introduced in the Outdoors Update, you won’t find the Donut in the Outdoors. You’ll find it in the slightly more familiar surroundings of The Hotel. It’s a little more tricky though.
The Donut shows up in the Rift Room. Entrance to these rooms resembles a door with blue cracks spreading across it, sealed with a lock in the shape of a skull. These may show up in a Hotel run, but there’s no guarantee.
You need a Skeleton Key to open the Rift Door.
To make this even more complicated, there are three different types of Rift Room. Only one of these, the bar/cafe variant, contains the Donut, which you will find on a cake stand in the room.
This is getting complicated. So, what’s the best way to handle it?
How To Get The Donut
Here is the most efficient way to get the Donut.
- Get 300 Gold through runs and hunting for treasure.
- Do a normal Hotel run.
- Reach the Jeff Shop and purchase a Skeleton Key.
- Reach the Rift in the Electrical Room and place the Skeleton Key inside.
- Start a new run, retrieve your key, make it through the Hotel, and look for a Rift Room.
- Repeat until you find a Rift Room.
- On finding a Rift Room, before you use your Skeleton Key, crouch and push up against the door, and try to angle yourself to look through the door. We were able to get a look at the floor of the room inside when we tried this, but we had to crouch.
- If you can see tables and chairs, then this is the correct room, use your Skeleton Key. Inside, the Donut should be sitting on a cake stand on the bar.
