About Breakthrough
Some of the auras available in Sol’s RNG are generally only available in specific biomes, which in turn have a certain chance of showing up. This can make it a bit trickier to roll certain auras. Tricker.. but not impossible. A Breakthrough is a rare roll where you snag an aura from another biome, albeit at a much lower chance to roll.
How To Get A Breakthrough
As with many things in Sol’s RNG, the best way to get a Breakthrough is… to keep on rolling. It’s rare but it’s definitely possible. I managed to break through during testing. Only to Glacier mind you.
You’ll know that you’ve got it if the screen goes dark, then the game notifies you of the Breakthrough and what you got, here’s hoping for something more exciting than Glacier.
You can also keep an eye on the biome you’re in. This will make a difference to your Breakthrough rarity. We’ve listed the rarity multipliers below for reference.
- Day – 10x
- Night – 10x
- Snow – 10x
- Starfall – 15x
- Null – 1000x
