If you think Cursed Techniques are overrated, you may want to adopt the Sorcery Heavenly Restriction as your primary combat. This guide tells you about this fighting style including its performance and how to obtain it!

Sorcery Heavenly Restriction Guide

Heavenly Restriction allows a player to discard the need for Cursed Energy and instead flush all their Stats into their raw damage, agility and vitality. This means that players who take the lone path of Heavenly Restrictions tend to be quicker with stronger base attacks, and higher health versus players who rely on Cursed Techniques. Pair Heavenly Restriction with a weapon and you’ll become Toji! Kind of…

When Heavenly Restricted, the player loses access to all skills and moves requiring Cursed Energy such as Domains, and no skills they’re able to perform require Cursed Energy outside of dashing. On the flip side, the skills that HR players do have access to don’t require energy to perform.

How To Become Heavenly Restricted

To become Heavenly Restricted, you’ll need to first be Grade 2+ and get your hands on the True War Remnant item, (Which I have a nifty guide for linked above!). In short, this item drops from Missions, and alongside it, you’ll need a Void Key which shares the same obtainment.

Using the Void Key inside the purple tunnel within the Open World area will teleport the player into the Void. When here, equip and activate the True War Remnant and wait for your health to drop to 0. This then finalizes the change, and your current player saves will wipe and reset.

Reborn under Heavenly Restriction, you’ll now have access to a whole new Skill Tree tailored to your new game. Alongside the Skill Tree comes the Physical Prowess move sets including the following:

  • Flash Cut
    • 25 Strength
    • 25 Agility
  • Stone Barrage
    • 50 Strength
    • 50 Agility
  • Spiral Smash
    • 50 Strength
    • 75 Agility
  • Shadow Step (Combo extender)
    • 100 Agility
