Type Soul Grades Guide – How To Increase Your Rank!

In Type Soul, Grades are hugely important for determining your character’s power level. Read on for my guide on increasing your Grade, no matter what character you play.

Type Soul is a Roblox experience based on the popular anime series Bleach. It’s largely a PvP game, where you take a character from zero to hero in order to battle more powerful foes. A lot of this progression comes through the Grade system, which is quite tricky to understand for those not well-versed in Bleach lore. In this guide, I’ll break it down into easily digestible chunks.

You can get started with Type Soul via Roblox right now. For more on the game, check out our guide on how to Trade in Type Soul.

Complete Type Soul Grades Guide

The Grade system in Type Soul works differently for each of its different character types. For this reason, I’ve broken this guide up into sections, one for each character.

Soul Reaper Grades

You can become a Soul Reaper by speaking to a Shinigami after dying and becoming a Lost Soul. Once this is done, you’ll need to complete the following steps to increase your Grade.

  • Grade 5 – Complete Missions to earn Mission XP. After a certain point, you’ll reach Grade 5.
  • Grade 4 – As with Grade 5, you can reach Grade 4 through Mission XP.
  • Grade 3 – Grade 3 is the last Grade you can reach through Mission XP alone.
  • Grade 2 – You’ll need to obtain a Shikai to Rank up any further. Once you have one, gather Shikai XP and Division XP to reach Grade 2.
  • Semi Grade 1 – Gather more Shikai and Division XP to reach this Grade.
  • Elite Grade – Gather a large amount of Mission, Division, Shikai, Grip, and Raid XP to reach this Grade. This will take a lot of time, and require you to take part in pretty much all in-game activities.

Quincy Grades

Becoming a Quincy is similar to becoming a Soul Reaper, only you need to interact with the sword-wielding statue through the Wanden Gate in Karakura Town rather than speaking to a Shinigami. The Quincy Grade system is also quite similar.

  • Grade 5-Semi Grade 1 – You can get all the way to Semi Grade 1 with a Quincy on Mission XP alone. This means you’ll need to take on a lot of Missions to increase your Grade with a Quincy. Try forming a party with other players to make this easier.
  • Elite Grade – You’ll need a combination of Raid XP, Grip XP, and Hollow Kills to reach this Grade.

Hollow Grades

Hollow is the most unique character type in Type Soul by far. They start off very weak, but through hunting other Hollows they can reach Arrancar form, and become quite formidable. Once in Arrancar form, your Hollow will become Grade 5.

  • Grade 4-Semi Grade 1 – As with a Quincy, you can get a Hollow to Semi Grade 1 on Mission XP alone.
  • Elite Grade – To push a Hollow up to Elite Grade, you need to amass Mission XP, Grip XP, and Raid XP. This means plenty of PvP action, so be sure to gear up well.
