F5 Games has dropped a new game called Abyss Hunters on Android. It’s an idle adventure RPG wrapped in pixel art and built around long-term progression. Yes, another idle RPG on mobile. Keep reading to find out what’s unique in this one.
Abyss Hunters lets you be the Chosen One
As the main character, called the Chosen One, you gather a crew of Adventurers first. Then, you push through a chain of encounters that swing between straightforward auto battles and sudden surprises. The usual humdrums of battles in idle RPGs.
Combat shifts between a dual-skill system and randomly generated Abyssal Events. Some players may push for clever strategies that pull off victories with underpowered teams. While others may prefer the satisfaction of overwhelming stats and straightforward wins.
Abyss Hunters offers a large pool of customisation options. There are more than 20 skill branches, over 40 monster cards, 100+ weapons and gear options, and a library of 200 unique affixes. The addition of resistance-breaking attacks lets you experiment with multiple builds.
The journey is around the mystery of a fallen ancient civilization and a menacing organisation whose motives aren’t obviously angelic. The game pairs you with a blindfolded girl predicted to be a Chosen Savior. You also get siblings who are determined to challenge the futures handed to them.

There’s a camp town that functions as your central hub
The camp town area drives progression through resource management rather than constant grinding. You can use materials for farming, cooking, and upgrading the town. There are also downtime activities such as fishing and cooperative dungeon challenges to team up with friends.
Within the camp, the Warrior, Mage, and Archer classes can be outfitted with specific gear combinations for upcoming abyss challenges. The game offers offline progression, which might be a plus for you if you travel frequently.
