BBC gearing up to release Ka-Bloom puzzle game onto Android

Originally released as a Flash browser-based game back in 2010, Ka-Bloom has gone on to become pretty popular. Now the BBC is looking to publish this game, developed by Strongman Games, onto Android in the near future.

For those of you who are not familiar with Ka-Bloom, it is a rather face-paced puzzle where you have to continuously feed strings of gems to Floret, a cosmic creature with an unending appetite for these things. You have to string gems together and drag them over to his mouth to feed him. As you fed him, his reach will grow which will allow him to reach gems that were previously inaccessible.

The Ka-Bloom game will be getting a re-vamping for mobile and will come with 56 levels, new graphics, and a remixed soundtrack. This will be the first time the BBC has published an independent game from another publisher which means we could expect more in the future. As we mentioned earlier though, no word just yet on when Ka-Bloom will actually land on Android, only that it will be coming in the ‘near future’.
