Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is Taking So Long That NetEase is Releasing its Own Version

Blood Strike pre-registration.

It’s fair to say that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is taking its sweet time coming to mobile. So much so that NetEase Games has had time to create its own version, and will likely release it first. It goes by the name of Blood Strike, and you can pre-register for it right now on Google Play.

The last we heard of Warzone Mobile was during Call of Duty Next back in October. Activision officially announced a launch window of spring 2024, alongside a bevvy of new features. That includes fancier visuals, more traditional multiplayer, and two maps.

What’s Blood Strike?

Blood Strike is Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile in all but name. It’s a battle royale shooter with console-level visuals and support for up to 100 players. You can play alone, or with friends in a variety of different modes.

You can pick from a variety of different operators, each of which have their own skillset that appeals to a different playstyle. There’s also a variety of different methods to get around, including parkour, parachuting, free-running, and zip-lining.

Can I Customise My Own Weapon?

Yep! Blood Strike, errr, borrows the Gunsmith system from Call of Duty. You can customise every aspect of each weapon, adding attachments that tweak them to fit your playstyle. You then collect your customised weapons via airdrops while in-game.

Of course, you can also just rely on your luck to loot the most powerful weapons as you explore. There are a wide variety of them, just like in the battle royale shooter that inspired it.

Where Can I Get It?

There’s only so many different ways I can say “Blood Strike is Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile”, so I’ll wrap things up here. You can grab it on Google Play via the link I dropped at the top of this page.

You might actually be able to play Blood Strike right now, too. It’s in soft launch in select territories.
