Brown Dust 2 Age Rating Bumped Up To 19+ For South Korean Players

Brown Dust 2 age rating

Neowiz, the publishers of Brown Dust 2, have decided to tweak the age rating for the game in South Korea. When April 25, 2024, hits and maintenance starts, Brown Dust 2 will require players to be 19+ to dive in. Despite this jump in Brown Dust 2 age rating, the rest of the world won’t see this shift.

What’s The Scoop?

Now, if you’re in Korea and haven’t hit the age of 19 yet, the game will ask you to prove you’re an adult before you can play. You’ll need to show a valid age-proof document. So, you can’t play the game until you can show you’re 19.

If you were born before April 25, 2005, and you’ve already splurged on the game being underage, you’re eligible for a refund. If you have some unused Dia, the in-game currency, rattling around, don’t fret.  Send an email to Brown Dust 2’s customer support and they’ll help you out.

You might wonder why Korea’s bumping up the Brown Dust 2 age rating to 19+. Well, over there, they start counting age from 1, so 19+ is actually just 18+. It’s a whole different ballgame in Korea for R18 (or R19) content with a tight grip on age ratings.

Meanwhile, the rest of the world won’t see any difference in the age requirement. The global version is sticking to its usual Brown Dust 2 age rating, which is 12+ on the App Store and 13+ on Google Play. If you want to learn more about the change, check out the official page.

Ever Played Brown Dust 2?

It landed in June 2023 and is the next chapter following Brave Nine, or Brown Dust as it’s known in Japan. It’s a fantasy JRPG with gacha elements. Picking up where Brave Nine left off, this sequel takes you on new adventures, breadcrumbing clues from the original story.

If you haven’t tried the game out yet, grab it from the Google Play Store.
