Catch as many sparks from fireworks as you can in Sparky, now out on Google Play

Released by High Q Technology LLC, Sparky is a new casual game for Android. In Sparky, players will be given a simple task, which is to collect as many of the colored sparks from fireworks as possible. This is accomplished in a very straight forward manner, which is simply to encircle them on the screen, using your finger.

And while that my sound simple on the surface, the fireworks explode in a variety of colors, and players need to circle colors that match. For example, if there are blue, green, and red sparks floating down the screen, I would need to circle as many blue as I can, while omitting the red and green. The more blue I capture in the circle, the more points I’m awarded Two are worth 100, while three are worth 300, four will net the player 600, and five caps out at 1,000 points. Were I to accidentally include a disparate color, I am docked points in place of being awarded them.

Sparkly Features:

• Every level is different!  Over 100 unique levels to conquer.
• Sparks explode from fireworks and fountains, drift by in the wind, and swirl around the screen.
• Nine global cities to explore. Watch fireworks shows from dusk ‘till dawn!
• Discover power-ups to help you along your way!
• Loop as quickly as you can, wait for the biggest bang, or puzzle your way to the highest score: each level requires a new strategy.
• Interact with dozens of spark types as you play.

The game uses the conventional three star grading system for its levels, of which there are over 100. Each level has a clock, against which I need to race to try and clear the board. Levels also contain a floor, for the minimum number of points necessary in order to progress. In yet another twist, some of the sparks behave in quirky ways. To wit, taking yellow ones as an example, they will deliberately move away from the circle you are trying to draw, whereas the other colors typically just drift listlessly. There are also nine different locations for the fire works, each forming a different silhouetted city-scape against a sunset.

Sparky is available for free from Google Play, and includes optional In App Purchasing as well. You can also hit up the trailer below to get a better idea on how the game is played.
