Murders on Budapest is a mix between a visual novel, an adventure game and a whodunnit that sees you trapped in a strange mansion in a snowstorm. When one of your group turns up dead, it’s up to you to figure out who the killer is.
The game plays around with the tropes of the mystery genre, nodding to the likes of Agatha Christie while it does, and imbuing everything with a cheeky sense of humor as it barrels along.
The choices you make change the direction of the story, and there are plenty of twists and turns in store. This is a game that likes to shake up your expectations, and make you laugh while it’s doing it.
Hilarious murder
There’s a decent chunk of innovation here, and the game likes to throw new ideas in your general direction from time to time as well. Nothing is ever quite what it seems, which we guess is kinda the point of a mystery.
