Couch Installation Service, from Minsk-based developer ilyathehuman, has just arrived on the Google Play Store.
Gameplay-wise, it’s a sokoban puzzler. That means you need to shift objects around in the correct sequence in order to complete each stage. Arrows on the floor tell you where the couches need to end up and which way they need to be facing, so you just need to work out how to make it happen.
It’s a fairly conventional mechanic with a highly novel application. As far as we’re aware, nobody has made a game about something as mundane as moving furniture – though the Truck Simulator games admittedly give Couch Installation Service a run for its money.
Aesthetically, the game is strongly evocative of Untitled Goose Game, with the same spare, fluid graphics and laidback vibe.
