Gamevil has been pretty consistent pushing updates out to their Darkness Reborn game and the newest one, version 1.1.1 update, brings a few new systems to the game as well as a whole new dungeon to explore. There is also a whole new mode added to campaigns as well for added challenge.
First, the new game mode is called Expert Mode and applies to all campaigns for the most part. Essentially what this new mode does is increase the difficulty of a campaign you’re doing. If you play any other MMORPGs, think of it as the equivalent of a Heroic dungeon in those games. In order to access Expert Mode, players will need to clear all the levels in Hard Mode in the Fallen Iron Castle map. Once you do that, the first map you will have access to in Expert Mode is Archen Forest. When in a map in Expert Mode, monsters will have increased damage, increased health, and there will be more of them to fight. These increases are more than what is seen in Hard Mode.
While we are on the subject of dungeons, there is a whole new dungeon added to Darkness Reborn as well. This is an Elemental Dungeon which can be accessed daily Monday-Saturday where players will fight monsters of different strengths and elements such as Fire, Ice, and Poison. Completing this dungeon will reward you with Evolve Stones which brings us to our next feature of this update.
Darkness Reborn now has a new Evolve system. Using the Evolve stone that you received for completing the new Elemental Dungeon, players can ‘evolve’ their maximum-enhanced Epic and Legendary items for the chance to increase their items’ Gear Scores.
The other system added to the game is an Equipment Salvage system. As you are probably guessing from the name, Epic and Legendary items now have a Salvage option through which players can acquire crafting materials, Evolve Stones, and Evolution Catalyst, an item that increases the chance of a successful evolution. So if you have Epic or Legendary items that you don’t, or can’t use, you can now salvage materials from them in order to help evolve your current Epic and Legendary gear that you do use.
The update also brings a few tweaks to Darkness Reborn. There are new changes to items available in Legendary, Devil, Prestige, and Radiant Strongboxes. The update also brings updated PvP matching system for more balanced gameplay.
