Devil’s Attorney, a Phoenix Wright inspired game, heading to Android soon

Phoenix Wright has been a staple in the attorney gaming genre, considering that they made the genre, for awhile now and a new game inspired by the rather humorous series of games will be making it’s way to Android in the near future called Devil’s Attorney. It doesn’t look like you’ll be shoving your finger in people’s faces screaming OBJECTION in this game though.

As you may be guessing with Devil’s Attorney, you’re goal in the game is to get your clients off of the hook by any means necessary and that doesn’t always mean keeping on the legal path either. This isn’t a typical text-based adventure game though as the battles in the courtroom actually happen as turn-based brawls. You will spend McMann’s action points, who is your lawyer character, on interrogation and analysis or something more underhanded before letting the prosecution do the same.

Staying true to a lawyer’s real goal, cash, winning cases earning your lawyer cash in which you can spend it on enhancing your character’s apartment. This somehow raises up your lawyer’s skill points and enhances his abilities so you can battle it out in the courts a lot easier.

For those of you interested in checking out this game, you’ll be able to do so when it launched on Android October 11, 2012. No word on pricing yet. Until then though, you can check out the trailer above.
