KEMCO’s Dragon Spira launches today on Android. The other entries in the series include Dragon Sinker: Descendants of Legend, Dragon Lapis, and Dragon Prana. Keep reading to find out all about this new game.
What’s the story in Dragon Spira?
The narrative unfolds a millennium after six mighty Spirit Beasts rebelled against their divine creators. The divine responded by sealing them away and disappearing themselves. But only after leaving behind humanity, along with two relics. These are the Divine Sword and the Seed of Hope.
And just like that, a new hero emerges to confront the long‑buried legacy! Gameplay is classic turn‑based combat with an inventive Sugoroku board that acts as the levelling system.
Battles earn RP, which fuels movement on the board. Landing on specific squares grants stat boosts, treasures, goal‑based bonuses, or high‑value awards.
Another nice feature is the ability to raise the Spirit Beast Ouve by collecting elemental fruits scattered across the world. As Ouve evolves, it adapts to its elemental affinity and unlocks Wonder Skills, potent abilities usable during battle.
Dragon Spira offers tons of customisation options with a broad job system. Each character can switch between various roles, and more advanced jobs unlock as you progress. Every job also changes the character’s appearance.
Will you get the game?
Just like most KEMCO games, Dragon Spira brings a nostalgic vibe with it. The visuals, the mechanisms and the lore, all of it will remind you of retro games.
