Dragon’s Lair’s futuristic cousin Space Ace flies onto Google Play

If you happen to be old enough to remember the hay days of the arcade generation, most people from that generation will remember Dragon’s Lair which happens to be available for Android for awhile now. Well Dragon’s Lair has a futuristic cousin called Space Ace and he’s also now available on Google Play.

We call Space Ace the cousin of Dragon’s Lair because the game came out roughly a few months after Dragon’s Lair hit the arcades and it features a similar style of gameplay and cinematic cut-scenes like Dragon’s Lair came with. However, the gameplay wasn’t totally the same because in Space Ace the action is a bit more variety and at times you have a choice as to whether you want to stay in ‘boy form’ or change into an adult.

For those of you who have played Dragon’s Lair, you’ll have no problem jumping into this game. For the uninitiated, basically you need to touch the virtual d-pad in the right direction when you are prompted to. You’ll only have about a second or two to do so and if you don’t, you end up dead. Digital Leisure has also gone ahead and remastered all the footage of the original game to fit every screen’s resolution so it should look pretty stellar on both phones and tablets.

If you’re up for a little adventure reflex gaming this holiday week, you might want to grab a copy of Space Ace. Doing so will cost you $4.99.
