Duck Detective: The Secret Salami has officially landed on Android. It’s from Snapbreak and developed by Happy Broccoli Games. You get to play as Eugene McQuacklin, a detective who waddles into a local bus company determined to crack the case.
Duck Detective Needs to Find Who Stole the Secret Salami
Let me tell you how Duck Detective kicks off. You’re a duck in a trench coat, going through a rough patch in life, and your next big case is about… a missing lunch!
What starts with a stolen lunchbox spirals into something way bigger involving suspicious alpacas and office grudges. You’ll even encounter passive-aggressive corporate drama.
Duck Detective: The Secret Salami is fully voice-acted. It has a cast of quirky animal coworkers who are more confused by your presence than afraid of being exposed.
You go around the bus depot chatting with them, picking up clues and scribbling notes in your little detective journal. You figure out who’s who, what they do, and why someone’s sandwich was deemed worthy of a full-blown investigation.
A Point-And-Click Adventure That Is Full of Awkward Stares
Yeah, staring is a mechanic in the game and you literally stare at suspects until they break. There’s even a button just to quack!
Duck Detective: The Secret Salami is a neo-noir parody. You’re in a smoky jazz lounge, the rain is pouring and you’re narrating your own sad inner thoughts about divorce as a duck.
If puzzles don’t excite you, you can just flip on Story Mode which automates the game. You can play the first two levels for free before deciding whether you want to unlock the full game.
This game might be right up your alley if you liked Frog Detective, Later Alligator or Return of the Obra Dinn. So, check it out on the Google Play Store.
