There are plenty of auto-battling RPGs out there, and if there’s one big issue of the genre, it’s that, by its very nature, you can feel a little obsolete as the player.
The game is, after all, playing itself, and it’s often simply a case of reaching another milestone, equipping the latest character/loot, then going back to ignoring the game.
Echoes Of Creation, however, seems to be trying to break the mold and add a more meaningful player experience to the whole thing, a way to feel like you’re making a meaningful difference.
Break The Cycle

This upcoming RPG is set in a fantasy world, where you, a young adventurer, set out on a quest to unite the Fragments Of Creation at the world’s summit, closing the cycle of creation and returning everything to its origin.
Now big, far-reaching stories are well and good, but how does it play?
In Echoes Of Creation, you get access to a wealth of character customization options, with 30 different character classes, and an ability system that brings over 40 different abilities, giving you a lot of room to mix and match to your liking.
Dungeon Crawler Without The Crawling?

The result is designed to be something a bit like Diablo or Path Of Exile, with idle mechanics replacing the usual never-ending dungeon grind. Instead, you get to tweak your character build to your liking, and be a loot goblin, looking over your winnings and determining what might be useful.
In fact, if you’re a fan of the Diablo series, or Path Of Exile and its sequels, you’re exactly the type of gamer the game was made to please.
If this all sounds like your kind of thing, you’re in luck too. Echoes Of Creation is out now on Google Play. It’s free to play, supported by in-app purchases and ads, so it’s easy enough to give it a try and see if it suits you.
