Games by Stitch is bringing something quite different later this month. Elsewhere Electric is their new asymmetric co-op puzzle game, landing on July 23rd, 2025, for Meta Quest, Steam, and mobile. You know what’s the uniqueness of the title? One person plays in VR while the other uses a mobile device!

Elsewhere Electric is a puzzle game powered by two

In the game two members of an emergency team are sent by Elsewhere Electric’s executives to bring a malfunctioning facility back online. The VR player, known as the Installer, explores the dark and eerie building.

Meanwhile the mobile player, called the Operator, stays in a van and monitors the grid from a command hub. The Operator has a bird’s-eye view of the entire layout and can manipulate the facility in ways the Installer cannot. So, communication is vital for success in the game.

Elsewhere Electric is inspired by the layered puzzles of The Witness and the unsettling tone of Severance. It makes you depend on your partner’s perspective and guidance.

Together, you have to decode cryptic symbols and solve environmental challenges. You unlock new abilities that let you reconfigure the facility’s map. You’ll also deal with invisible creatures lurking in the shadows.

Substance over spectacle

Elsewhere Electric stands out for its asymmetrical approach and its focus on substance over spectacle. Each puzzle connects to the larger mystery of what went wrong inside the plant and what the executives might really be hiding.

If you like the idea of solving puzzles while collaborating with another player, you’ll like the game. It’s developed by the team behind Broken Spectre. So, that’s another reason to give it a spin. You can check out the mobile app on the Google Play Store and the full game on the official website.
