Double Dragon Trilogy is the free game this week on the Epic Games Mobile Store. From October 9th to October 16th, 2025, you can grab it on your Android device and try it out. Users worldwide can download the full game, which otherwise costs $3.49 on mobile.
One of the most influential beat ‘em ups
DotEmu is the studio that has repackaged the classic game for new-age mobile devices. The Trilogy bundles together all three original arcade releases in one app. There’s Double Dragon from 1987, Double Dragon II: The Revenge from 1988, and Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone from 1990.
These were the games that helped define side-scrolling brawlers. It was built around a simple idea that’s never really gone out of style: you, your fists, and a street full of trouble.
You step into the shoes of Billy and Jimmy Lee, two martial arts brothers who clean up the city one flying kick at a time. The first game starts with a familiar motivation, which is rescuing Billy’s kidnapped girlfriend Marian from the Black Shadows Gang.
You get to choose between two main modes. Arcade mimics the original playthrough and focuses on chasing high scores. The other one is Story mode, which adds unlockable stages and achievements as you progress.
There are three difficulty settings as well. The Mobile option is balanced for a more forgiving experience on phones, while Original keeps things authentic to the arcade releases. The Expert level is the most challenging one.
DotEmu has added features that make the game’s transition from arcade cabinets to touchscreen quite smooth. You can fully customise the controls to suit your preferred setup or connect a controller. So, grab Double Dragon Trilogy from the Epic Games Mobile Store app for free this week.
