Fans of 20th Century Fox’s animated comedies are soon in for a treat with Animation Throwdown

Fans of animated comedies such as American Dad!, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, Futurama, and King of the Hill are in for a new treat, coming later this year. Dubbed Animation Throwdown: The Quest for Cards, this is an upcoming card game that uses characters from those shows in a multiplayer format.

While there isn’t much detail released heretofore by Kongregate, the studio that will be releasing the game, we do know at this point that players will be building decks with cards comprised of the characters within the aforementioned shows. That being said, it’s being also being co-developed by Chinzilla (who made Little Alchemist) and Synapse (the ones behind Tyrant Unleashed).

So, looking at how those games are both played, it’s reasonable to assume that the characters will be used in a head-to-head format, be upgraded or evolved with their stats, and maybe even combined to do so. Looking at Kongregate’s track record, I’d wager that the game will be free with optional IAPs along for the ride.

Again, the game is set to drop in the next few months, will be card and deck based with the characters from 20th Century Fox’s animated comedies, and the decks will be used in multiplayer formats, against friends or other opponents. As more information is released regarding Animation Throwdown: The Quest for Cards, we’ll update you accordingly.
