First Footage of the Stardew Valley-esque Action-RPG Moonlighter on Mobile

The first gameplay footage of Digital Sun’s Moonlighter has been showcased this weekend at the Guerilla Collective Showcase event.

In case you’re not au fait with the game, Moonlighter is a highly acclaimed pixel-art action-RPG in which you play as a shopkeeper who vends goods by day and goes adventuring by night.

Shopkeeping is a means to an end, giving you cash to spend on upgrading your town and expanding the range of goods and services it provides, in turn upgrading your abilities as an adventurer.

Moonlighter is often compared favorably to Stardew Valley, which tells you all you need to know. But here’s a bit more: it won the Best Indie Game award at GDC 2018.

Originally announced at GDC 2019, the mobile port of Moonlighter will contain all the DLC from the PC and console original, plus auto attacks and swipe-based movement.

The mobile port of Moonlighter will be out later this year. Check it out in the video above (49:10).
