Fortnite on Android – Samsung exclusive or no Google Play?

Fortnite Battle Royale Android

The conversation surrounding Fortnite on Android heated up this week, with a bunch of rumours doing the rounds.

It started with the suggestion that the world’s biggest game would be a Samsung exclusive, launching alongside the Galaxy Note 9.

The South Korean “trusted source” claims the exclusivity would last only for 30 days though. That’s not particularly terrible.

Could Fortnite bypass Google Play or be a Samsung exclusive?

More recently though, another claim suggested that Epic was bypassing Google Play altogether. It seems the enormous publisher didn’t want to give up 30% of its sales to Google, if this is true.

Instead, you might have to download Fortnite separately from the Epic site. This isn’t a dealbreaker though, as many of us choose to grab APKs as it is.

It could alienate casuals who aren’t comfortable grabbing games the unofficial way though.

What do you guys think? Would you be disappointed in 30 days of Samsung exclusivity? Is it a dealbreaker if it bypasses Google Play? Let us know in the comments below.
