Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the popular metroidvania from developer ArtPlay, is coming to mobile courtesy of NetEase. And it’s going to be a premium release.
Initially released on PC and consoles last year, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is an exploration-heavy metroidvania in which you charge around in 18th century England opening chests, fighting 120 different kinds of monsters, and gaining access – via keys and powers – to new areas of the map.
It was created by Castlevania alumnus Koji Igarashi, who came up with the idea after leaving Konami in 2014. You can think of it is a legitimate successor, not least because it’s similarly acclaimed, with a rare 10/10 average review score on Steam.
We don’t know exactly how much Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is going to cost, but we do know that it’ll be a global release, and that it will feature a mobile-optimized interface. NetEase also promises, “no compromises on visual quality or gameplay fidelity”.
The mobile version will also include all of the DLC available to date for the console version.
