Tuesday Morning Humor: Electronic Arts named worst company in America for 2012

Seems like today is just full of gems in the news and if you have been following gaming news in general the past week or so then you probably already know that Electronic Arts has been in the front running for the distinguished title of Worst Company in America. Well, seems all their hard work has paid off and they have won that title.

A total of 250,000 votes were cast in the final round of voting in The Consumerist’s poll for the Worst Company in America and Electronic Arts has come out on top, beating out companies like Bank of America in terms of sheer greed. Electronic Arts noticed that they had won the title and responded to an inquiry by Vox Games about the situation:

“We’re sure that bank presidents, oil, tobacco and weapons companies are all relieved they weren’t on the list this year. We’re going to continue making award-winning games and services played by more than 300 million people worldwide.” – John Reseburg, EA’s senior director of corporate communications, wrote in replay to Vox Games.

Electronic Arts has come under fire in the Android community for various issues with device support (or lack thereof) along with some other issues. Their general gaming business hasn’t fared any better either when it comes to customer satisfaction apparently. Congrats to Electronic Arts on your new title!
