A rather unknown developer, THE WEE UN (you might remember Angry Wires, but probably don’t) just released their new game onto Google Play. Gorge Edge comes as an interesting puzzle game that will surely get some work out of your eyes more than your brain itself.
In the game, you have the duty of getting your friend from one side of the Lava Pit to the other, only by the means of selecting the correct order of wooden tiles to be put in front of him. There’s 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 units long tiles, and while there’s an unlimited number of them, you only have the chance to go wrong 5 times. You must find out the length of the next tile to be put down by looking ahead and guessing the distance. Of course you can also use a top-look camera, but that will cost one of your 5 shots at going wrong.
The game lacks sound effects which is a bit of a let down, as well as a proper game over animation, but it makes up to itself by adding their previous game, Angry Wires, for free. That’s 2 games for the price of one.
So, if you want to give a shot at a newcomer’s game, this may be a good place to start. Go ahead, and grab the game off of Google Play. A good chance at some visual puzzling for $1.18.
