The Harry Potter: Magic Awakened Release Date is Finally Here

Hogwarts in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened.

Potter fans, rejoice! The moment you have been waiting for is finally here: the Harry Potter: Magic Awakened release date. Well, it is on Google Play at least. A certain blasphemous member of our team who owns an iPhone has claimed that it’s not quite available on the App Store just yet.

If you still can’t download it, it might just not have dropped in your region. This is pretty common for a mobile game release, so we recommend checking back intermittently until it appears.

When Is The Harry Potter: Magic Awakened Release Date?

In case you’re one of those people that just scrolls past all of the text to get to the point in articles, the Harry Potter: Magic Awakened release date is June 27. That’s today, as of when this article went live, or in the past depending on when you read it.

What’s Harry Potter: Magic Awakened?

Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is the latest game to take place in the Harry Potter universe. You attend Hogwarts as a student, with the gameplay primarily taking the form of real-time multiplayer duels. It’s a deck builder at heart, with you putting together a ‘deck’ of cards that take the form of spells and charms.

When not battling, there’s plenty of other stuff to do. You can browse Diagon Alley, explore Hogwarts, and even participate in the Dance Club. If you’re feeling daring, you can head on over to the Forbidden Forest.

The Forbidden Forest Sounds Fun!

This mode is a little more like a roguelike, with you beginning at level one and levelling up as you progress. You may want to adjust your deck to meet the various different challenges you face, including battling a cave troll.

The good news is that you won’t go it alone. You can play the Forbidden Forest with friends or strangers. That does increase the difficulty of battle, but you wouldn’t want it to be too easy now, would you?

With great challenge, comes rewards though. You earn ‘Echoes’ as you progress, which are basically perks that modify your deck while you play. You can also visit a dodgy merchant to purchase further rewards.

Where Do I Sign Up?

You can grab Harry Potter: Magic Awakened on Google Play or the App Store via the links at the top of this article, and learn more about it on the official site.

It’s a great time to get started, too, as the game just surpassed an incredible eight million pre-registrations. That means you will get showered with rewards, including the following:

  • Baby Manticores and Niffler Card Park
  • Nimbus 2,000 and 1,000 Gold
  • Ten Silver Keys and 1,500 Gold
  • 100 Gems and 2,000 Gold
  • A Golden Key and 50 Gems
