[Updated] Herocraft announces Majesty: Northern Kingdom expansion, coming to Android July 17th

On July 17th, Herocraft, the developer for the strategy game called Majesty is set to release a new expansion for it called The Northern Kingdom. In Majesty, the player doesn’t directly control the heroes and citizen of his or her kingdom.

Update: July 17th, 2014 7:25am PST Majesty: Northern Kingdom is now available on Google Play as a free download. You can snag a copy through the link below.

An interesting twist in that they appear to be taken under advisement” vs direct orders that are followed. The way Herocraft puts it is “You are able to issue orders but heroes will follow your commands only for a sizable reward”, and the game is premised on something called “indirect control”, and it’s the player’s job to handle quirks (like currency turning into cookies) within a fantasy setting.

The expansion itself is just that, an addition to this game. Herocraft is adding a new, wintery location called the Northern Lands, as well as new monsters. This is added to what they already carry over from the original: dozens of heroes, thirty upgradeable buildings types, changeable weather, and more. They’re also introducing an integration with Facebook, for those that want to include their friends in their gaming, or humble-brag about their accomplishments to the gnashing of their friends’ teeth; for players that take advantage of the Facebook integration, there are crystals to be secured.

While this expansion is free, the base game is not. Majesty is available in Google Play for $1.99.
