Well, it’s to no one’s surprise that Honkai Star Rail mobile revenue has already reached over $100 million. As impressive as that is though, it hasn’t been able to beat Genshin Impact’s launch revenue, which managed to reach almost $250 million.
However, it’s still an impressive feat considering the fact that Honkai Star Rail has been out for just under a month. With HoYoverse being one of the most popular gaming companies in the world right now, these large figures aren’t surprising.

Are Whales the Main Contributors?
While this mobile revenue figure is a product of the spending of players worldwide, it’s important to note that gacha games tend to harbour those called “whales”.
This term is used for those who are more than comfortable with spending extremely large amounts of money on in-game currency- they definitely contribute to a large portion of the overall revenue.
