Hungry for fruit, Snakebird has slithered its way onto Android

Released by Noumenon Games, Snakebird is a new puzzler for Android. In Snakebird, players will assume the role of the eponymous creature, which is tasked with consuming any number of fruit on a given level, and subsequently exit it.

The game uses simple swipe controls, moving the creature one “space” at a time (seeing a grid overlay the background is an option that can be toggled), with various two finger gestures controlling the player’s perspective and include panning and zooming. Players will need to navigate small islands, moving up, down, and all around the various platforms, while avoiding pitfalls such as falling into the water. Also included is a reset button in the upper right-hand corner, should players get themselves into a situation where they’re stuck and unable to complete the level.

Snakebird can be downloaded for free from Google Play, but the full game that includes an additional 45 levels over what you get in the free version, will cost a single IAP of $4.71.
