Tepes Ovidiu, the indie solo developer from Romania, has released a new puzzle game. His previous games include Cessabit, the memory game and Not Chess. Is This Yours? is the new game where you run a chaotic lost & found counter.
Like most of his other games, Tepes Ovidiu has pretty much done everything on his own. And that includes the artwork, animations and the code, which is quite impressive. His new game takes something mundane and turns it into a fun experience.
Is This Yours?
In the game, you’re in charge of a chaotic lost and found counter. People come up to you in a panic, hoping you can find their missing things. The game throws everything from burritos and earbuds to passports and even a teddy bear that seems to be going through something emotionally complicated.
Every request is like a mini puzzle. Your job is to identify the right item based on their often vague or absurd descriptions. Sometimes it’s just someone looking for their sunglasses, even if they’re broken. Other times, it’s something even stranger.
So, you keep matching people with their lost stuff. Somehow, all of it makes the game frantic, weirdly emotional, but also hilarious at the same time. Catch a glimpse of Is This Yours? below.
It’s an Avalanche of Forgotten Junk and Grumpy Customers
You only get three hearts in the fast-paced mode of Is This Yours? The faster you match an item, the more your reputation goes up. But as you progress, there’s an increasing number of lost things, and the characters getting more impatient.
There’s also a Zen mode, where you can take your time and just enjoy the matching without worrying about angry customers or losing hearts. It’s a calmer version of the same experience.
The game also includes haptic feedback, achievements, and leaderboards through Game Centre. The game is a one-time purchase, so there are no ads, no tracking, and no data collection. You can grab it at $1.99 from the Google Play Store.
