I feel like CottonGame has a chest full of games that are beautiful, creative and unique games. After games like One Way: The Elevator and Little Triangle and Reviver: Premium and Woolly Boy and the Circus recently, they’ve dropped another quirky game. It’s called ISOLAND: Pumpkin Town.
What Is ISOLAND: Pumpkin Town About?
If you follow and play the games by CottonGame, you might have heard about Isoland and Mr. Pumpkin, two of their previous games. Island is a point-and-click puzzle with a mysterious story that takes place on an island in the Atlantic Ocean.
While Mr. Pumpkin is a tapping AVG which is about a pumpkin trying to find an identity for himself among all the other veggies. Isoland: Pumpkin Town kind of blends the ideas behind the two games but not directly.
The game throws you into a bizarre little town and expects you to figure things out. Pumpkin Town has an eerie yet charming vibe. Every corner hides some odd contraption, a locked door or a cryptic symbol.
There are a bunch of strange characters and puzzles. The characters talk in riddles and act like they know more than they’re letting on. Beware of them because they will absolutely not give you straightforward answers.
The puzzles in Isoland: Pumpkin Town make you think deeply. Some solutions are simple, while most others might take more time than you expect. The way everything ties together is pretty amazing. The story unfolds piece by piece, keeping you curious and exploring.
Whatever It Is, the Art Is Amazing
What caught my eye when I first checked Isoland: Pumpkin Town out was its visuals. They’re 2D images with vibrant colours and weird elements that make the game surreal. You’ll stumble upon cartoonish sceneries that just suit the vibe of the game.
I think all of CottonGame’s games stand out because of their art. Reviver: Butterfly (which revolves around art), Woolly Boy and Isoland all boast of their peculiar type of visuals which attract players like me.
If you want to take a peek at the game, here it is on the Google Play Store. There’s humour, mystery and challenging gameplay, so it’s worth giving a try.
