Kairosoft’s new horse racing sim, Pocket Stables, has arrived

Back in mid-January of this year we mentioned a few games had landed on the Japanese Google Play store from Kairosoft. One of those games was called Stakes Ranch G1 which was the actual translation of the title. Well it might have taken a bit longer than we had originally though but that game is now available on Google Play for everyone under it’s official English name called Pocket Stables.

In Pocket Stables you will once again be managing some sort of business, taking it from a tiny little operation to a world renowned business or at least that is what you are hoping to accomplish. As you’re probably guessing with this game, you’ll be managing a racetrack and stables, building facilities for training horses to win more racing and other structures to attract more people to your race track.

Like most Kairosoft games, you will eventually attract better customers are your property improves and becomes better known. These better customers will turn around and spend more cash so you can make more of a profit. Horses have three main stats to concern yourself with: stamina, speed and intensity. Finding the right combo will net you a winning horse and the more races you win, the better the prizes. There are other stats to look out for as well.

We also were not 100% sure regarding the breeding aspect of Pocket Stables when we wrote about it last but there is indeed a breeding part to this game. Once your horse gets old enough and has won enough races, you can retire him as a stud. This will allow you to try out different pedigree combinations in order to breed better horses.

If you’re a fan of Kairosoft games and are actually caught up on all of them, then you can head over to the Google Play store and pick up Pocket Stables for the usual Kairosoft price of $4.99.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in.
