Uruguayan developer Ironhide Game Studio has unveiled the next chapter in its tower defense franchise. It’s Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis, and this tower defense title has been announced for PC via Steam, Android and iOS.

Like the previous games, players hold defensive lines while waves of enemies attempt to break through in this title too. This time, the conflict circles back to one of the saga’s central figures. You must construct towers, deploy heroes and confront Vez’nan, whose corruption threatens to alter everything.
Genesis will revisit the original Kingdom Rush lands at a time when legends were only beginning to form. You’ll see reimagined locations and familiar faces, alongside tactical gameplay. On that note, watch the first trailer of the game here.
In terms of content, Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis offers 27 upgradeable characters. These include 15 towers with special skills, and 12 epic heroes. You can deploy two heroes in each stage, with individual upgrades that unlock stronger abilities.
The game also introduces 9 powerful spells. A revamped upgrade system separates progression paths for each tower, hero and spell. Meanwhile, the campaign spans 19 stages, each featuring distinct enemy hordes and stage mechanics.
Three different landscapes across Linirea serve as the backdrop. Enemy variety comes with more than 40 different foes divided into 5 enemy races and culminating in 6 colossal boss fights. Additional modes for higher difficulty are also available, alongside 50+ achievements.
The Steam page for Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis Tower Defense is now live. Pre-orders on Google Play is planned to open closer to launch. You can check out all about the game on the official website.
