Ubisoft has launched Might & Magic Fates TCG, a strategy trading card game set within the Might & Magic universe. Its battles revolve around the Sea of Fates, a fractured multiverse where timelines intersect and destinies unravel.

Might & Magic Fates TCG presents an original competitive structure

You start by assembling a deck and guiding a hero into combat. You summon mythical creatures, cast spells, deploy artefacts, and construct buildings that alter the battlefield. Every card draws on familiar factions and characters while introducing new combinations.

Heroes function in a way that mirrors role-playing progression systems. Over the course of a game, heroes gain XP and level up, unlocking new skills. There are hundreds of cards to collect, spanning different rarities: Common, Rare, Epic & Legendary.

The game features 5 types of cards: Heroes, Units, Buildings, Spells, and Artefacts. Units serve as the primary battlefield presence, carrying traits that synergise with one another. You can summon them by spending gold. Buildings can strengthen defenses, boost economic output, or enhance an army’s capabilities.

Meanwhile, spells deliver immediate effects, unleashing arcanic bursts that obliterate, empower, or enchant without remaining in play. Artefacts offer passive or reactive benefits that tend to be more durable than creatures, with very few effects capable of destroying them.

In addition to rarity and type, cards can appear in different qualities, including standard, foil or animated versions. You can grow the collection through gameplay rewards or by opening booster packs with cards of varying rarities.

Deck construction pulls from multiple Might & Magic factions. You can fight for Haven, raise the dead in Necropolis, unleash Inferno’s fury, or wield the arcane influence of the Academy. So, yeah, Might & Magic Fates TCG is a typical trading card game in an atypical way.

The game is free to play, so do give it a spin from the Google Play Store.
