Night Slashers is back in the form of a remake on Android. Originally released in 1993 by Data East, the cult beat ’em up has had a revival with extra gore. Forever Entertainment and Storm Trident have tried to keep the spirit of the original intact in this remake.

Love Old-School Brawlers?

In the game, you step into a horror-soaked apocalypse where you’ll find zombies, mutants, werewolves, mummies, and even Dracula. You’ll be punching Frankenstein’s monster in the face to stop the end of the world. You start by playing the first level as Christopher Smith.

Night Slashers: Remake sticks to the classic’s arcade-style brawler. There are seven stages split into chunks, and movement that’s in left-to-right format. Each stage ends in a boss fight, and you can expect some solid throwdowns with iconic horror villains.

If you try to run ahead without dealing with the undead mob behind you, the game won’t let you. You’re stuck until you clean the screen of threats. On that note, catch a glimpse of the game here.

Will You Try Night Slashers: Remake?

The remake has expanded combat mechanics, letting you string together combos, unleash aerial moves, and pull off special attacks. Visually, it’s been upgraded with blood splatters, lighting effects, and smoother animations.

Night Slashers: Remake has a tone that is pure campy terror, like a low-budget monster movie. There’s even an option to tweak the game with custom rules, like you can explode corpses or set a brutal time limit.

Night Slashers: Remake has also added a new character to the original trio. So, now you can jump into four-player local co-op. The first level is free to play, while the full version comes with more characters, levels, and a bunch of gameplay modifiers.

Check out the game from the Google Play Store.
