Node.Hack from 4Gency now also available for Android and for the Kindle Fire

Another game we talked about a few days ago was the interesting action strategy game from 4Gency called Node.Hack. Based around a theme of hacking, this combines both puzzle and arcade game mechanics into one title with a bit of a flare for retro game visuals.

Based around hacking nodes with monetary value, you move your little circle around the field, dodging enemy AI units while trying to collect as much money as possible. Once you’ve reached your goal, you will have a minute to grab any extra cash while trying to make your way to the exit.

The gameplay consists of 3 parts:

1. Hacking nodes that contain valuables in order to open the level exit
2. Avoiding enemy AI and/or using weapons to destroy the AI
3. Escape the level once the exit is opened while the nodes collapse around the player

Notable features include:

1. OpenFeint support with online leaderboards
2. Randomly generating maps
3. Achievement support as a day one patch or shortly thereafter

Maps in Node.Hack are randomly generated each time you play so even though you are competing with other players for top score, you won’t be running the same maps as them. One thing you may want to also take into account is that the developer has already pushed a build out onto the Google Play store that addresses the opening of OpenFeint after each level. This is something you will read about in the comments but that appears to have been fixed.

For those of you who like the hacking themed games out there and are waiting for Uplink to arrive, this is a good time killer to bite into. You can download Node.Hack off of Google Play or through our store for $0.99. You can also grab this game for your Kindle Fire off of the Amazon App Store for $0.99 as well.
