Redeev, the developers of the hack‘n’slash action RPG AnimA, have dropped a new ARPG on Android. It’s called Oniro ARPG, and it’s a dark fantasy ARPG that draws similarities with titles like Diablo and Path of Exile.
A dark fantasy hack-and-slash
The premise is set in the land of Shianya, where demons claw their way out of the shadows and gothic ruins. It’s a world stitched together from Japanese mythology and gothic fantasy. Cursed temples, shattered citadels, and dark Eastern mysticism are all part of the game.
You fight waves of Oni and uncover the secrets of a land falling apart. The campaign unfolds across 7 acts, and you can tackle them solo or with friends. Over 100 dungeons are available with different challenges and difficulty modes.
Loot is a big deal here, with more than 200 unique legendary items up for grabs. You can upgrade the gear, enhance them with rare materials, and further customise them with socketable gems. You also get more than 20 weapon types, ranging from twin blades to greatswords.
Oniro ARPG has a multiclass system. You can unlock up to 21 unique classes with distinct active and passive abilities. The system is divided into tiers, where you can mix first and second-tier specialisations freely.
Third-tier specialisations bring the most powerful abilities in the game. They include iconic paths like Samurai, Berserker, Colossus, Paladin, Dragon, Soulbinder, Elementalist, Contractor, Hermit, Shinobi, Archer, and Blademaster.
Will Oniro ARPG match the success of AnimA?
AnimA became quite popular among ARPG lovers when it launched. And by the looks of it, Oniro ARPG isn’t looking bad either. So, here’s to hoping that it’s a good action RPG with enough depth.
The game comes fully optimised for mobile with controller support and HD graphics. It offers a full story which you can play offline without requiring an internet connection. So, check it out from the Google Play Store.
