Ten years ago, Picture Cross made its debut under the name World’s Biggest Picture Cross, aiming to be the ultimate nonogram app for mobile. Now, with over 10,000 puzzles, Picture Cross is celebrating its 10th anniversary with new modes and more puzzles.

Play the Game if You Haven’t Already

Picture Cross has a massive variety of puzzles, with a range of grid sizes and difficulties from Easy to Expert. The gameplay sticks to the classic nonogram format. You use number clues to fill in the right squares and slowly reveal a pixel art image.

The images you unlock are entire themed packs and hidden poster scenes. The game features over 60 themed puzzle packs. You can jump into Motorsport for a hundred fast-paced puzzles, or go galactic with Moonshot, a space-themed set of 100 challenges.

Then, there’s Mini Golf for nostalgic course lovers, Rockstar for music fans, and Sci-Fi Celebration for anyone into aliens and warp drives. You can even take on Mythical Monsters, Fairy Tales, or dig through ancient ruins in Archaeology.

For something more grounded, you can try A Day At The Races or The Airport, each has a fresh scene to uncover. Pirates! has a wild shipload of puzzles. And if you’ve already tackled everything, the Encyclopedia of Picture Cross offers a remixed collection to keep the challenge going.

Celebrate Picture Cross 10th Anniversary with new Routes and Modes

There’s a Map View to help you plan your puzzle route. A new Tournament Mode is also live now for competitive puzzlers. Apart from these, you get a handy playing guide for solving strategies. Both classic and multi-colour puzzles are included in all modes.

Meanwhile, the CEO of the game’s creators, puzzling.com, Pete Williamson, is happy to see the game turn 10. He summed it up with a simple message of thanks to the fans, and a tease that more updates are on the way in 2025 and beyond. Check the game out from the Google Play Store.
