Today is Earth Day, so Pikmin Bloom has found a new way to celebrate the cause through the Party Walk event. This time, you need not take a few extra steps. Instead, plant a few extra flowers. If you like Niantic’s augmented reality, location-based game, you should definitely take part in the new event.
When Is the Pikmin Bloom Party Walk?
Pikmin Bloom is running the special Earth Day-themed Official Party Walk from April 22nd until April 30th. Instead of tracking your steps like usual, you’ll keep a track of how many flowers you plant. Every single bloom counts towards the global total.
So now, you’ll actually need to be planting flowers if you want to contribute. The event fits right into the Earth Day vibe. There’s more greenery and more purpose, and Pikmin Bloom is rewarding that effort in a fun way, too.
Depending on how many flowers everyone manages to plant together during the event, players can unlock weather-themed Decor Pikmin through Huge Seedlings.
Here’s what’s on the line: if the total hits 500 million flowers, everyone who joins the event gets a Huge Seedling that grows into a Leaf Hat Decor Pikmin. Reach 1 billion flowers, and you unlock a Snow Decor Pikmin.
But if players push it all the way to 1.5 billion, there’s a Huge Seedling for a Present Sticker (Gold) Decor Pikmin and that one’s specifically for White Pikmin.
But Keep This in Mind
Your flowers won’t count unless you actually join the Pikmin Bloom Party Walk. So, make sure you’ve updated to app version 117 and signed up properly. On that note, get the game from the Google Play Store if you haven’t already.
Lastly, to make the whole flower planting mission a little easier, everyone is getting a promo code. All flower types count toward the goal, by the way, so don’t stress over planting any specific kind. Just get out there and start blooming.
