Pixel Runners: Time Shift has landed on Android. While there are plenty of endless runners already available on mobile, developers are trying to make new platformers which aren’t that conventional. In this one, your character is sprinting to escape an unstoppable wall of doom.

A magician and a few traps

You’ll be dodging traps, monsters, and tricky terrain just like in the classics. But in Pixel Runners: Time Shift, when an obstacle seems completely unavoidable, you can flip into a parallel universe to find a way through. Yes, the dimension-shifting changes the whole rhythm of the run!

The game also throws in time manipulation. You can briefly slow down or rewind to dodge hazards or fix a mistake before it ends your run. And there are actual boss fights, too, which isn’t something you usually see in any platformer or endless runner.

Visually, it’s built on classic retro charm, with vibrant 2D pixel worlds. The scenes range from ruined cityscapes to dense forests and scorching deserts. Curious to take a peek? See what Pixel Runners: Time Shift looks like!

Pixel Runners: Time Shift has procedurally generated levels

So, no two runs play out the same. Meanwhile, progression happens when you collect coins during runs and unlock upgrades. These upgrades can add new tricks to your arsenal, like double jumps, shields, magnets, and speed boosts.

The game is simple. Tap to jump, swipe to shift between dimensions. What makes it fun is its combination of parallel worlds, traps, enemies, and bosses. You can check it out on the Google Play Store for free. By the way, the game works offline as well, so you can play it without Wi-Fi or mobile data.
