Pokémon GO Adventure Week is back with its event for 2025. It kicks off on July 29th at 10:00 a.m.  and runs until August 3rd, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. While last year’s event featured Rock-type and Fossil Pokémon, this year’s event also features some exciting new Pokémon. Keep reading to find out.

Who are the debutants?

The spotlight falls on a pair of Paldean Pokémon that draw direct inspiration from classic Kanto creatures. Toedscool makes its first in-game appearance, alongside its evolution Toedscruel. A walking mushroom, Toedscool is a twisted mirror of Tentacool.

You can evolve it by using 50 Toedscool Candy. Meanwhile, Wiglett, the unsettlingly long eel-like cousin of Diglett, is also on the spotlight. It’s now available in its Shiny version for the first time.

Pokémon GO Adventure Week 2025 has tweaked its wild spawns to reflect different environments. So, you’ll need to move around if you want to catch everything. Urban players in cities can expect to see Snubbull, Trubbish, Elgyem, and Sizzlipede, with rare Espurr encounters.

All but Sizzlipede can appear Shiny. If you’re in forests or grasslands, look out for Skwovet, Smoliv, Figoudh, and Tadbulb, while Toedscool will be a rare find in those areas. Mountain zones will feature Hippopotas, Drilbur, and Rufflet (all of which have Shiny versions) with Gligar as the rarer spawn.

Near beaches or bodies of water, the lineup includes Inkay, Mareanie, Dewpider, Sandygast, and Wiglett, and every one of these has a Shiny potential.

Earn double XP

Catching Pokémon during the event will give double XP. Incense, excluding Daily Adventure Incense, will last two hours per activation. You can also complete Field Research tasks to earn Stardust, Rare Candy, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.

And as usual, there’s free Timed Research up for grabs. It includes one Incense, four Rare Candy, and a bunch of themed encounters. So, get the game from the Google Play Store, if you haven’t already.
