A portal inspired puzzle platformer called Nex has been in a beta stage of testing and development over the last little while but those beta tags have now officially been dropped and the full version of the game has launched onto Google Play. Featuring Portal-esque style 3D visuals and a first-person point of view, Nex is a unique looking game to sink your time into.
Labeled as ‘Part One’ which indicated that this will be an episodic series of games, Nex puts players in a futuristic looking world that looks like something right out of the Portal series of games. The goal is to solve each level in order to move onto the next one. This is done by manipulating the environment around you in various ways whether it is with your gun tool or just by actually getting yourself to the exit door.
The developer promises plenty of free updates in the near future including level packs and new mechanics introduced into the game. If you are a fan of Portal style games, you will want to check out Nex. Right now the game will only set you back $0.99 but there is a free demo you can try out beforehand as well.
