Preview of a great looking shuffle puck game called Smash Dazzle that is heading to Android

A small indie game development studio called Moon Colony Games is currently developing a great looking shuffle puck game called Smash Dazzle for Android and iOS. While Smash Dazzle looks to be still in the early phases of development, the concept art for the tables look amazing already.

In fact if you have seen any of the previews for Zen Pinball on the Tegra 3 tablets from back during GDC 2011 or even the ones available now on Tegra 2 devices, you’ll have a bit of an idea as to what to expect when these shuffle puck tables actually get rendered for the game. We say rendered because even though the team at Moon Colony Games is small, they have 30+ years combined experience in the game development industry (20+ released AAA blockbuster titles for various platforms such as Playstation, Nintendo 64, Playstation 2, GameCube, XBox, Playstation 3, X360 and Wii according to their site) and are using Unity3D to create the game itself.

As we’ve recently seen what Unity3D is capable of, for instance the upcoming Android game from Madfinger Games called Shadowgun, these tables are going to look pretty awesome. The developers have mentioned that there will be as much life (animations, sounds, etc) to the tables as they can put into it without being distracting to the players when playing the game. For a shuffle puck game, this sounds like it’s going to be pretty high in quality.

Unfortunately, like we mentioned, the game is still in the earlier stages of development so there is no release date announced. We will keep everyone posted as the game gets developed but for now we get to enjoy the concept art for some of the tables for Smash Dazzle.
