Support for the Android-based gaming console continues to grow and now we have one of the first indie developers to publicly come out and announce their support for the console with the release of their first game called GunBlitz. This little gem of a game is a side-scrolling arcade shooter for those of you who enjoy games like R-Type.
Interestingly enough, Rapture Games Studio will be launching their game onto OUYA when it is released sometime in March 2013 and then after that it will arrive for PC in September. GunBlitz has you controlling your ship, blasting enemies in space with upgradeable weapons that, eventually, can become pretty damn big. It is pretty fast-paced and it looks like it could borderline on a bullet hell type of shooter in some sections.
The game will be free-to-play as all titles on OUYA will be whether that means you try the game out and then buy the full versions or play them entirely with optional in-game purchases. For those of you who want to give GunBlitz a whirl now though, you can download a PC Demo version of it and try out a few levels. Check out the video above to see the game in action.
