Razer’s wearable tech called the Nabu X has a second round of pre-orders going live tomorrow

Razer’s entry into the wearable technology sector, outside of the newly announce VR headset of theirs, is a wristband called the Nabu X which was originally announced back in June of 2014. For those of you who missed the first round of pre-orders for US/Canada, tomorrow the 2nd round will start as well as the first round for European residents interested in snagging one of these.

If you are not familiar with the Nabu X or missed our last article about it, this wristband is more about keeping your organized and healthy than it is gaming related. Mind you if you are a professional/hardcore gamer, whether it be eSports, TwitchTV streaming, or just playing a LOT of games, then this might come in handy to you. It is meant to keep you up-to-date with everything that you have synced onto your Android device without the need to check it all the time.

For example, if you have an incoming notification happen, such as a phone call, you can see it appear on your wristband and decide as to whether or not you stop playing your game to answer it or let voicemail pick it up instead.

In order to qualify for this pre-order round, you have to be a member of Razer Insider with your Razer ID linked to your Razer Insider account. Your Razer Insider profile also needs to be completed with at least a profile picture. Lastly, you will have to at least posted 8 times on the Razer Insider forums. These have to be constructive posts and not just the word ‘Hi’ 8 times. If you qualify, you will be able to pre-order a Nabu X at a discounted rate of $19.99 USD in the US/Canada or $19.99Euros in Europe. There is only 500 units available for pre-order and once those are spoken for, this round will close.

Note that this isn’t a public retail test launch but more like a limited closed beta type of thing. Razer has stated that a public retail test flight near the end of January 2015. Full instructions are available in the official Nabu X pre-order thread on the Razer Insider forums.
