The trailer reveals the game’s tense, immersive atmosphere along with the strategic elements that you can experience once it drops.
In a nod to longtime fans, it features familiar faces from the Resident Evil series. The game is letting players assemble their own dream teams without the constraints of sticking to one title’s storyline.
The production comes from Quebico, the same studio behind the fully 3DCG animated film Resident Evil: Death Island. Their influence is evident in the visuals and dynamic pacing of the footage. On that note, watch the Resident Evil Survival Unit cinematic PV right here.
And did you hear it? The theme song Mountain Hunt is performed by QUEEN BEE. The track’s haunting vocals from Avu-chan matches the game’s atmosphere to the T.
The music underscores the predator-prey tension, perfect for the trailer. Avu-chan described the song as an intense love piece with rapid-fire pacing that aligns with the game’s do-or-die feel.
In case you don’t know QUEEN BEE, it’s a Japanese rock band formed in 2009. It’s made up of Avu-chan on vocals, Yashi-chan on bass, and Hibari-kun on guitar. Their chart success spans both physical and digital releases.
Pre-registered yet?
Resident Evil Survival Unit is set in a parallel universe that departs from the established canon while still drawing on the franchise’s lore. The story is entirely original, introducing a new conflict. And unlike the usual games in the franchise, it will mix horror with survival.
The game is open for pre-registration and will drop later this year. If you haven’t pre-registered yet, head over to the Google Play Store.
