Netflix’s Rise of the Golden Idol is dropping its first DLC The Sins of New Wells on mobile. It’s going to be out on March 4th and along with mobile, other platforms like PC and consoles will also be able to get this DLC. On mobile, it will be completely free as it’s part of Netflix Gaming.
What’s in Store?
There’s certainly more mystery, crime and Lemurian magic. New Wells is on another level when it comes to problems a city or a town can have. Homicide detective Roy Samson gets transferred to the 9th District, which is basically where justice doesn’t exist.
Corruption is everywhere, and crime is the way people do business. Alongside his new partner, Cliff Savea, Roy dives into a series of brutal crimes, only to realize they’ve stumbled onto something much worse.
The Sins of New Wells brings four brand-new cases to the game. Each one is a tangled mess of crime, deception and mystery. You’ll be picking apart Following Orders, Trouble Unleashed, The Raid and Unraveling, trying to figure out who is lying, who has something to hide (hint: everyone) and how the pieces fit together.
To solve the case, you get to interrogate people who are mostly dishonest and solve intricate puzzles. Beware because there’s some madness gripping New Wells.
Are You a Netflix Subscriber?
The Sins of New Wells, the first DLC for Rise of the Golden Idol, will be available for mobile players exactly at 9 AM PT or 5 PM GMT on launch day. Color Gray Games has announced that it’s only the beginning of the extra cases coming in 2025. They have at least four DLCs planned for the game.
The Rise of the Golden Idol has already earned its place as a standout modern detective game. If you have a Netflix subscription, you can get the game for free on the Google Play Store.
