A long time ago we mentioned that Rovio would be releasing a game at some point that would have the pigs as the stars of the game instead of the irritated fowl we have all been flinging for the past couple of years. Well it looks like that could very well finally be coming to reality.
This new game will actually keep the theme format of actual Angry Birds games, except you will be playing as the pigs and you will be protecting the eggs instead of playing as the birds trying to reclaim their eggs. In fact a majority of the game will follow the tradition Angry Birds titles including the wooden slingshot and the unstable buildings, you will just be playing from the pigs point of view.
Just like Angry Birds, there will be a variety of different pigs at your disposal with different abilities. Details are still scare but from the sounds of things, we will be firing pigs at oncoming birds to protect their eggs. As of right now there is just a very general release date of “before Christmas” so it could be awhile still before we get to play as pigs. Luckily we will have Amazing Alex soon to tide us over till then. This is still considered a rumor right now so take it with a bit of salt.
