Rubicon Developments, the creators of the Great Big War Game and other popular turn-based strategy combat games, are back with what appears to be their biggest title yet called Combat Monsters. Now available on Google Play, this game blends collecting cards and the company’s expertise in turn-based combat games to form a pretty impressive title.
Before passing judgement on this game when you read the phrase “collecting cards” and labeling this as your standard TCG type of game, we have to say this isn’t that type of game at all. While there is collecting cards in this one, there is also full 3D rendered turn-based strategy combat to be found. If you’ve played the company’s other titles then you already have an idea of what to expect.

Combat Monsters does feature deck building, where players create their own customized decks of creatures and spells to use, when you actually get into the combat portion of the game you will be taken to whatever map you want to do. These maps are where the turn-based combat that Rubicon Developments is so good at makes their appearance.
There is plenty of single-player content for players to enjoy but multiplayer is also present in Combat Monsters. Multiplayer consists of having up to six players fighting it out on a map to see who will come out on top. Cross-platform account support is also integrated into this game so it doesn’t matter what device you play on, as long as you log into your account, you’ll be able to play using the same account.
